Saint-Emilion wine
The Denomination of Origin St. Emilion originates in the region of increased production of red wine in the valley located Dorogne. Its wines are the best in the area, and is considered one of the paradises of Merlot.
The predominant grapes Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and a lesser amount of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. The robust red wine with aromas of truffles, cooked red fruit and toast. These wines have an excellent observer steady growth in the most famous Château Ausone, Château Pavie, Chateau Angelus and Chateau Chaval Blanc.
The soils are chalky with gravel and clay-limestone. The extension of the vineyards covering 6,500 hectares.
